EMPLOYMENT

As with any relationship, the employment relationship should be a mutually beneficial one where both parties work together towards a common goal. Our team can help establish a framework for making decisions in the workplace and can assist on recruitment, disciplinary action or negotiation, the drafting of employment agreements, and occupational safety and health procedures.

Should serious problems occur in the employment relationship, our litigation team can assist you in working towards a resolution which provides for the best outcome. CIVIL DISPUTES

Our civil litigation team can offer you the right advice and take action in matters where recourse to the Courts appears likely. In a civil dispute we can assist you in avoiding unnecessary time and expense in dealing with the matter prior to needing to take it to Court. We offer assistance in negotiation, mediation and arbitration. Often the best outcome is one that is reached by yourself with the other party.

Sometimes it is necessary to take a civil dispute further and obtain the assistance of the Court in resolving it. We have a team that can provide you with the highest quality professional service in all areas of civil claims, including:

  • Debt recovery
  • Neighbour disputes
  • Small claims
  • Claims arising from contracts
  • Claims in respect of property
  • Claims in torts (e.g. a claim of negligence or defamation)
  • Privacy claims

We can provide a service from assisting you to bringing a claim in the disputes tribunal to bringing an appeal to the Supreme Court.

TRAFFIC LAW

Having a driver’s licence is something that most of us take for granted, until we are in a position where we have lost or might lose it. We realise that the ability to drive for work and family reasons is vital to most people. Our team can assist you in obtaining a limited licence in a situation where your licence has been revoked through either a decision of the Court or an accumulation of demerit points.

We can also assist you in a guilty plea for a driving charge in explaining to the Court what led to the offence and your circumstances, so that the Court can be more fully aware of your situation before passing sentence.
