Community Impact

Life Education Trust

At Edmonds Judd, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting initiatives that foster the well-being and development of our youth. Our longstanding partnership with the Waipā King Country Life Education Trust is a testament to this commitment.

A Personal Dedication

Partner Mandy Rasmussen has been a dedicated trustee of the Waipā King Country Life Education Trust since 2005. Her involvement began when her sons were young, and over the years, she has witnessed first hand the positive impact of the Trust’s programs on local students. Mandy’s legal expertise and passion for community service have been invaluable in guiding the Trust’s mission to deliver health and well-being education to children across the region.

Supporting the Next Generation

Through our partnership, we actively support initiatives like “Harold’s High Tea” and “Harold Goes for Gold”  fundraising events. These events are crucial in raising the necessary funds to maintain the presence of Harold the Giraffe and his dedicated educators, Nicky and Abby, who bring the Life Education program to over 8,000 students annually.

A Shared Vision

Life Education Trust’s mission aligns with our values of community engagement and support for the next generation. By contributing to the Trust, we help ensure that children in our region have access to the tools and knowledge they need to make healthy choices and lead fulfilling lives.

We believe a strong community is built on connection, care, and contribution. As a firm, we’re proud to support the people and organisations that make our region such a great place to live. Our commitment to community runs deep — it’s central to who we are and how we work.

Te Awamutu AFC

We have always believed in backing local organisations that bring people together, encourage healthy activity, and build pride in our town. These qualities are important to us and our ongoing partnership with Te Awamutu Association Football Club reflects that belief.

A Personal Connection

Our partner Simon Brdanovic has long been involved in the Te Awamutu community, and his service to Te Awamutu AFC is a natural extension of that commitment. Simon currently serves as Secretary of Te Awamutu AFC, helping with governance, club administration, and guiding the club toward sustainable growth.

Supporting Local Sport & Growth

Through our sponsorship and support of Te Awamutu AFC, we are proud to back their initiatives across junior, women’s, and men’s competitions.
For example, Edmonds Judd has been spotlighted in the Club’s “Sponsor Spotlight” for supporting their Women’s Reserve team.
We also support club events and club-wide programmes that bring the community together, strengthen local ties, and help young people participate in sport.

Riding for the Disabled

Ōtorohanga & Cambridge

At Edmonds Judd, we see the strength in supporting organisations that empower people of all abilities and enrich our community. Our involvement with Riding for the Disabled (RDA), especially the Ōtorohanga & Cambridge group, is what makes Edmonds Judd special – a commitment to you.

A Local Connection

We assist multiple branches of RDA, helping to ensure that people with disabilities in our area can access therapeutic riding, equine-assisted programmes, and community engagement. RDA groups like Ōtorohanga & Cambridge are part of the wider New Zealand Riding for the Disabled Association (NZRDA), which supports more than 50 local groups throughout the country.

Supporting Independence, Confidence & Well-being

RDA offers more than just riding — it offers opportunities: to gain physical strength, coordination, emotional resilience, and social connection. Our support helps with things like equipment, facilities, and volunteer training, so that Ōtorohanga & Cambridges riders and coaches can deliver safe, high-quality programmes.

Shared Values & Vision

Riding for the Disabled shares values close to our own: inclusion, empowerment, respect, and making a real difference in lives. By partnering with the group, we:

  • Help ensure people with disabilities in our region have access to life-changing therapeutic and recreational opportunities

  • Contribute to a caring, supportive local community

  • Stand alongside volunteers, families, and participants in building confidence, independence, and joy

Riding for the Disabled is more than a service — it’s a source of possibility — and we’re honoured to be part of that journey.

Though our name is on the sponsorship, it’s the volunteers, coaches, and riders who bring the real magic to life. We’re proud to play a role in enabling what they do.

BNI New Zealand

At Edmonds Judd, we believe strong business relationships help build strong communities. Our involvement with BNI New Zealand — and our commitment to hosting weekly meetings for the Te Awamutu chapter — reflects our dedication to supporting local businesses, collaboration, and shared success.

A Local Connection

Every Friday morning, our Te Awamutu office becomes a hub of energy, ideas, and opportunity as BNI members come together to network, learn, and support one another.
Our Senior Solicitor, Georgia Willard, leads Edmonds Judd’s involvement, representing our firm and helping strengthen the relationships that drive growth within our region.

BNI New Zealand connects thousands of professionals across the country through structured, supportive networking. Being part of the Te Awamutu chapter allows us to contribute directly to the success of local businesses and professionals who, like us, are invested in the future of our community.

Supporting Growth, Connection & Collaboration

BNI offers more than weekly meetings — it provides a platform where meaningful business relationships are built, referrals are exchanged to support local economic growth, and members learn from one another’s expertise. It also strengthens confidence and leadership within a supportive, trusted environment.

Shared Values & Vision

BNI’s values align closely with our own: integrity, teamwork, trust, and community-mindedness. Our involvement allows us to support the success of local businesses and professionals, contribute to a strong and connected business community, and help create opportunities for ongoing collaboration and mutual growth. BNI is more than a networking group — it is a community of people lifting each other up, and we are proud to be part of that journey and to host a place where those connections can flourish each Friday.

Supporting Special Children

Special Children’s Christmas Parties NZ provides unforgettable celebration events for children who are living with serious illness, disability, or challenging circumstances. These events are designed to give children — and their families — a day where they can simply enjoy being together, surrounded by fun, entertainment, and care.

Making a Difference Through Support

Through our support of Special Children’s Christmas Parties NZ, Edmonds Judd helps contribute to the delivery of large-scale Christmas and Extravaganza parties held across the country. These events rely on the generosity of sponsors, volunteers, and community organisations to create moments of joy, laughter, and lasting memories for thousands of children each year.

A Shared Commitment

The mission of Special Children’s Christmas Parties NZ aligns closely with our values of community involvement, compassion, and supporting those who need it most. By backing this organisation, we are proud to play a small part in helping ensure special children and their families can experience moments of happiness, inclusion, and celebration.

We’re also proud to support various sporting clubs in Te Awamutu, Waitomo and the Wider Waikato area.
